A Lightning Address works like an email address for Bitcoin—simple, memorable, and reusable. This guide explains the five steps to get your own address, which allows you to receive recurring and one-time Bitcoin payments without generating a new invoice every time.

Join the Bitsacco Community Federation

Open the Fedi app and scan the Bitsacco Federation Invite QR code to join. Once joined, you'll see the Bitsacco community in your Communities tab, then click on claim your lightning address mini app.

Get Your LNURL from Your Bitsacco Fedi Wallet

  1. Tap Wallet at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the Receive button.
  3. At the top, select the LNURL tab.
  4. You'll see a QR code and a reusable Lightning payment code — tap Copy to copy your LNURL.

Register Your Lightning Address

You'll land on the Register LN Address page. Fill in the details:

  • Domain — This is pre-filled as bitsacco.com. Leave it as is.
  • Username — Choose a simple, memorable name (e.g. yourname). This becomes the first part of your address.
  • LNURL — Paste the LNURL you copied from your Bitsacco Fedi wallet in Step 2.

Once done, tap Register.

Your Lightning Address will look like this:

yourname@bitsacco.com

Share this address with anyone who wants to send you Bitcoin — it works for recurring payments and one-time transfers alike. No need to generate a new invoice every time!
